Current student at University of Michigan

"The ASE internship was a wonderful opportunity to experience Athletic Training in performing arts and immersion in the administrative aspect of the profession as well as the clinical.

It is an all-encompassing and valuable opportunity which has not only prepared me to work as an independent AT but has also helped me to grow as a more well-rounded person."

Graduate of Columbia University

"Starting at ASE as an interpreter was the perfect intersection of my interests in dance and Russian. I was quickly encouraged to take on more responsibility and was promoted to ASE Program Director.

The skills developed in that role continued to help me both professionally and academically after my time at ASE. I learned so much about being successful in a supervisory position. I am currently working towards a Master's in Russian and Eastern European Studies at the University of Oxford and I know that my time at ASE helped me immensely to prepare for it all."

Current student at CUNY Hunter College

"ASE has been the foundation of all my achievements and aspirations as a dancer, student, and future health care professional. Progressing across various employment roles--from a Program Assistant to Sr. Staff--allowed me to learn from ASE's senior staff and also provided me with opportunities to lead.

ASE is a space for personal growth and innovation. The expertise and care of its team is a resource that carries on beyond the summer programs. You will not regret the learning experiences!"

Graduate of University of Georgia

"My 6 years working at ASE were invaluable. As an interpreter and later as a Director, I learned and developed skills that help me directly as a law school student. The people that I met working at ASE became some of my closest friends. Having work experience that demonstrates my bilingual abilities strengthened my resume. My knowledge of Russian and prior work experience made me stand out during interviews. I learned countless real-world lessons and skills that have helped me grow as a person and a professional; time management, the ability to juggle diverse responsibilities, and interpersonal skills. Accepting the offer to work at ASE was the best professional decision I have ever made."

Graduate of Vassar College

"Being hired as a Program Assistant offered me a unique experience to work in a multicultural environment while practicing Russian language, building leadership and communication skills, and learning how to juggle many responsibilities.

Being hired as a Program Director after graduation has allowed me to work with inspiring coworkers, professional partners, and many others in a high-level capacity both domestically and internationally. Working for ASE is a unique and exciting experience that I recommend to anyone looking to advance their career by gaining a multitude of new skills and relationships."

Graduate of Grinnell College and Columbia University

"Working at ASE not only prepared me well for my future career, but also informed its trajectory. Being hired as a Program Assistant and exposed to Russian culture inspired me to study Russian language in college.

Later joining the leadership team as Director, I learned how to work successfully in a fast-paced environment. Currently as a consultant for the Federal Gov't, I routinely call upon the critical thinking skills I developed during my formative years at ASE."
